Lemon oil is extracted from the skin of the lemon. The essential oil can be diluted and applied directly to the skin or diffused into the air and inhaled.

Lemon essential oil is best known for its purifying properties.

Lemon essential oil blends well with Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Orange, Lime, or Peppermint essential oils.

Always mix Lemon essential oil with a carrier oil before applying topically. A patch test should be performed before use for those with sensitive skin.

Lemon essential oil is photosensitive, causing skin to become red and irritated when exposed to the sun. It is important to minimize direct sun exposure after applying lemon essential topically.
